Santosh Maruthy, PhD, is a Professor in the Department of Speech-Language Sciences at the All India Institute of Speech and Hearing, Mysore, India. His research focuses on the mechanisms underlying stuttering as well as bilingualism and stuttering, speech science, speech perception, and voice disorders in professional voice users. He has more than 14 years of experience in teaching graduate and postgraduate students of Speech and Hearing and 22 years of clinical experience. He has 2 extramural projects and 13 intramural projects to his credit. He has written six book chapters and has published 28 research articles in peer-reviewed international journals such as the Journal of Fluency and Disorders, Journal of Voice, and Journal of Communication Disorders. He has successfully guided three students in their doctoral research and currently guiding six more students. He has also successfully guided 21 postgraduate students in their Masters’ dissertations. He has won 11 Best paper awards at various national and international conferences.
