Brief Overview

Dr. Yashodhara Kumar G.Y. serves as a Clinical psychologist in the Department of Clinical psychology at All India Institute of Speech and Hearing, Mysore. He received M.Sc. (Clinical Psychology), M. Phil. in Psychology, and PG Diploma in Guidance and Counselling degrees from various universities and institutes. In 2017, he awarded a Doctorate degree for the work on "Shyness among Children with Learning Disability in Relation to Anxiety-Depression Dyad and Quality of Life" from the University of Mysore.

His research interests are disability studies, developmental psychology, psychometrics, Personality studies, Emotional problems, Neuropsychology, and Forensic Psychology. He is a member of professional bodies such as the National Academy of Psychology and the Indian Science Congress.

With more than ten years of professional experience, he has contributed to the psychology literature as an author and co-author through more than 15 research articles published in numerous peer-reviewed journals of national and international repute. He also completed two extramural projects being a principal co-investigator. His h-index: is 4, i10-index: is 3, with 62 citations across the globe.

He also served as a resource person in various national-level workshops in clinical psychology. Some of his known talks at workshops are 'Goal setting, 'Stress management, Time management, Behavioural management in children, and Interpersonal relationship management. He awarded International travel grant from the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) and visited Yokohama, Japan to present his research work on "case reports: Try-out of Smartphone Applications for Neuro-psychological Rehabilitation in Traumatic Brain Injury" at the International Congress of Psychology (ICP) 2016. In addition, he presented ten research articles at various international and national-level conferences.
