Assistant Professor in Speech Sciences, Department of Speech Language Sciences

Email: irfana@aiishmysore.in

Dr. Irfana M is an Assistant Professor in speech sciences. She is a faculty majorly working on speech sound disorders, maxillofacial anomalies and cognitive linguistics. Her research aims to explore the possibilities of Ultrasound imaging technique as feedback tool for the intervention of speech sound corrections and cognitive linguistic processing. For her PhD dissertation, she studied coarticulation in major three Indian languages using Ultrasound measures.  Her ongoing research is focused on cognitive linguistics skills in normal and persons with neurological deficits.
She has PhD and MSc (SLP) from the All India Institute of Speech and Hearing, University of Mysore, India and a BASLP from National Institute of Speech and Hearing, Trivandrum, India.
